The Loop is one of Chicago’s hottest zip codes. The Loop is the historical district of downtown Chicago, and is the second-largest central business district in the United States. Bounded on the west and north by the Chicago River, east by Lake Michigan and South by Roosevelt Road.

The Chicago Loop is close to Michigan Avenue shops and office buildings, and the LaSalle Street financial district. It is also close to the City’s theatre and museums.

The Chicago Loop is known for upscale real estate high rise condominiums, many with views of downtown such as The Heritage at Millennium Park, Water Tower, mixed use building of retail, hotel, condominiums and office space, Legacy and Momo.

Price ranges vary. The median sales price of homes sold in the Loop during June 2008 and August 2008 according to Trulia.com was $343,000. According to Zillow.com, home prices fell 2.3% compared to the first quarter 2008, rose 2.5% year over year, rose 2.4% over the last 5 years and rose 6.1% over the last 10 years.
